Owners: your mobile number (it is your login ID), a password, your name, the details and photos of the properties you list, the contact numbers you choose to show, and verification documents (your Aadhaar or PAN card and property papers). Your password is held only by our login provider, in scrambled form; we never see or store it. Documents are private: only our admin and our onboarding team can open them.
Renters who post a requirement: your mobile number (confirmed with an SMS code) and the trip details you enter (city, dates, bedrooms, guests).
Everyone: if you only browse, we don't collect your name or number. We count page views and searches (which page, which city and date) without identifying you. To limit spam we keep, for a few days, a one-way scrambled fingerprint of your network address; it cannot be turned back into the address.
To let you log in, to show your listing to renters once it's approved, to let our admin review listings and verification documents, to tell owners in a city when a renter is looking there, and to keep the site safe from spam and misuse.
An owner's listed Call and WhatsApp numbers are given to a renter when they tap Call or WhatsApp on a live listing, since that is how renters reach them. A renter's requirement (without their number) is shown to owners with a property in that city; the number is shown only to an owner who chooses to unlock that enquiry. We don't sell your data.

We do not currently show ads on this site. This section applies if we do in future. We use third-party advertising companies, including Google, to serve ads when you visit this site. These companies may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites — not including your name, address, email, or phone number — in order to show ads based on your interests.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices for non-Google providers. Owners can delete their account at any time from Your profile → Delete my account. This permanently removes your login, all your listings and photos, the documents you uploaded and your notification settings. Anyone, including renters, can ask us to delete their data (for example a requirement and its phone number) by emailing hello@directfarmhouse.com. We keep account data until you delete it. Renters can close a requirement themselves once they have found a farmhouse ("Close my requirement" at the bottom of every page): owners stop seeing it straight away. Requirements are otherwise kept so owners and our statistics can use them, until removed on request. SMS verification records (number and address fingerprint) are deleted within a few days.
